Bolivia Publishes Draft Standards for Non‑Alcoholic Beverages

The Bolivian Institute for Standards and Quality (IBNORCA) has opened a public consultation on two draft standards aimed at updating the regulatory framework for non‑alcoholic beverages.
APNB/IBNORCA 325001 – Non‑Alcoholic Beverages: Requirements
This draft standard sets out the characteristics that non‑alcoholic beverages must comply with. Its scope excludes the following products:
Beverages made entirely from fruit or vegetables, whether sweetened or unsweetened, concentrated, frozen or thawed
Liquid milk and dairy products, including skimmed milk, yoghurt and powdered milk
Beverages based exclusively on infusions, such as tea, coffee, yerba mate, cocoa, saffron, bark, sprouts and leaves
Carbonated or non‑carbonated table water
Energy and hydration drinks
Powdered soft drinks
The draft seeks to update the version currently in force since 2024.
APNB/IBNORCA 325002 – Non‑Alcoholic Beverages: Carbonated and Non‑Carbonated Table Water
This draft establishes the requirements and characteristics applicable to carbonated and non‑carbonated table water. It also aims to replace the 2024 version of the standard.
The deadline for submitting comments on both draft standards is 14 March 2026.
