At the Astana International Forum held in May 2025, senior officials reaffirmed the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) commitment to regulatory harmonisation. The event, which brought together over 7,000 participants including policymakers, business leaders, and technical experts, featured high-level discussions on trade integration and regulatory cooperation.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk announced that EAEU Member States have already agreed on 85% of the standards and norms required for the full functioning of the Union. He underscored ongoing efforts to harmonise legislation and technical regulations, a key step towards ensuring a predictable and unified regulatory environment across the region.
