Ecuador Publishes Draft Revision for Technical Standard for Fermented Milks

The Ecuadorian Standardization Service (INEN) has released a draft revision of the Ecuadorian Technical Standard (NTE) INEN 2395 Fermented Milks for public consultation.
The proposed update outlines the requirements for a variety of fermented milk products, including yogurt, alternative culture yogurt, acidophilus milk, kefir, kumys, concentrated fermented milk, flavoured fermented milks, and fermented milk beverages.
This marks the third revision of the standard. If adopted, it will replace the current version, which has been in effect since 2011.
