On 9 October, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the draft of the main directions of the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) international activities for 2026. The document is scheduled to be adopted by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
The document defines the key priorities, directions, and practical tasks for the Union’s external engagement in the coming year. The current priorities and new drivers of international activity are aimed at achieving the strategic objective outlined in the Declaration on the Further Development of Economic Processes within the EAEU up to 2030 and for the period up to 2045, the “Eurasian Economic Path” – ensuring the functioning of the EAEU as a center of economic attraction on the international stage.
The draft reflects the full spectrum of the Union’s international agenda, which has been steadily expanding year by year. The main focus is on expanding cooperation with integration associations and international organisations, developing dialogue with third countries, as well as promoting the interests of EAEU member states on global economic platforms.
